I have been to San Fran quite a bit, but not in the past two years. I was hoping that you might be able to help me out with some resto ideas. I have been trying to call slanted door but to no avail...just think that it would be a neat place to go. Was wondering about similar style of food/setting recs. I was also looking for some more romantic restos...thinking about taking her to top of the Mark for drinks and dancing after dinner...she just moved to San Fran and had never been before. All types of food are posible...have been thinking about Aqua (former partner was a fam friend, but haven't heard much since he left), Rubicon, Merenda etc... The room is beautifully lit and decorated with lovely displays of flowers, and much more quiet than many restuarants allowing for conversation in a normal tone. Small, romantically lit, food to share. That was probably my favorite date my fiancee and I have ever been on. I had heard over and over about how wonderful and romantic Cafe Jaqueline was, so I took my husband (fiance at the the time) there for a special dinner.
