I am looking for some meals to freeze for a 25 year old grad student to reheat while he is recuperating from shoulder surgery (Probably 4-6 weeks). He must have been dropped at my door steps by unknowns, because he is just a meat and starch kinda guy. I am visiting for the next 6 days to help and want to stock his somewhat small apartment freezer. I have already prepared some chicken dishes, (oven fried chicken and chicken and rice casserole)and twice baked potatos. Thank you in advance for any help with this and all the other wonderful help I receive from all you Chowhounds.

Beef Stew. Meat balls. Pasta and sauce separately because they nuke for different amounts of time. If he's not a pasta & meatball person, just meatballs and sauce can go with a potato or into a nice hero roll. Will he enjoy meatloaf in individual little loaf pans or otherwise portioned?

Can he cut meat? Or will everything have to be 'fork-tender' at the beginning? It's something to think about.

Brisket freezes wonderfully. If you make a whole one, you can divide it into four meals. I'm not sure about the potatoes, but if pasta freezes, you could add egg or bow-tie noodles and freeze.
