Freezing quiches

  • e

I'm wondering if it is possible to freeze a quiche. And if so, would one freeze a quiche which has been baked or is uncooked?

Any other adivce about this?

I've freezed them after they were baked with no problem.

Quiches freeze quite well. I've only frozen them after baking, so I can't speak about whether it's possible to freeze them unbaked, however. I'm inclined to say no--you could make and freeze the pre-baked crust, but not likely the custard mixture. Just a guess. When I freeze my finished quiches, I often cut them into portions and wrap them individually, then thaw and rewarm on a baking sheet. Mmmmm...they turn out beautifully.

      1. I do this a lot, with no problem. I think that you will be happier w/ the texture if you slightly undercook them. Cook until done, but not golden.
