I am entertaining some important business clients
next week and am looking for a good strip club in SF
with so-so or decent food. I realize that strip
clubs and good food are mutually exclusive, so I
won't even go there. A decent wine menu would be
a big plus. Please respond before Tuesday. Thank
you.

Hello? The Stinking Rose has excellent food and is close enough to some of the highest quality clubs in town. Beware that the City is cracking down on acts of prostitution at strip clubs. This has the potential to really make a business trip memorable, as does the great dining experience of the Stinking Rose.

I remember seeing a good review some time ago (in the Chronicle no less) for Boys Toys. It's known for having a good menu and an upscale atmosphere. I think they serve liquor so that means no complete nudity.

I remembered something to that effect too but couldn't remember the name of the restaurant. I find it interesting that this review isn't in the sfgate.com restaurant database, I had to find it with an archives search.

As an alternative to eating at a strip club, start with dinner at a sceney restaurant with beautiful yet clothed patrons before moving on. Rose Pistola and Enrico's jump immediately to mind as options in North Beach, though that's based only on dated and second hand reports of the food and scene. Anyone?

Boy's Toys is somewhat upscale and pricey. Comfortable and well-appointed (at least, in the dark). The food, if I can recall, were nothing to write home about and were sufficiently OK to tide us over after an early dinner elswhere, but appeared (at least, in the dark) presentable. BTW, try to take advantage of their 2-for-1s, two orders for the price of one in drinks, food and lapdances.

Fyi, no complete nudity - tops and bottoms are retained.

The Condor Lounge recently reopened at Broadway and Columbus. It was the proud venue for Carol Doda as well as the now infamous piano incident.

Went to their opening party and the snacks were pretty good. Menu, linked below, looked decent. More burlesque than strip club. Like other sugestions, good starting off point if the clients require more titillation later. Not too sleazy, has some neat historical stuff, and would be ok for a mixed genedered audience.
