I am using orzo for the first time and don't know how long to cook it. The recipe says al dente but I would also like an approximate time.
I use Barilla and it takes about 9-11 minutes, but start tasting it for al dente at about 7.
Thanks. I made a delicious orzo salad with tomatoes, arugula, toasted pine nuts, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic vineger. The orzo took 8 minutes. Everyone asked for the recipe.
