Does anyone have a recipe for really excellent, buttery sugar cookies?

The batch I just made are (from a Martha Stewart recipe) are bordering inedible.

Thanks!

Are you looking for the cut-out type? If not, Cook's Illustrated had a great sugar cookie recipe in the Nov/Dec 2002 issue. They have a crisp exterior and a chewy interior (if you don't overbake them, which I unfortunately did). If you can't find the magazine, I can post the recipe.
