Just finished Jeffrey Steingarten's new book of food essays "It Must've Been Something I Ate" and enjoyed it evem more than his first book "The Man Who Ate Everything". In this book he unleashes his quirkily obsessive curiosity on a variety of dishes-- dry-aged steak, turducken, boudin noir, sea urchin, espresso, tacos, caviar, salt --conducting experiments, puncturing myths. A very fun and enlightening read.

You just made my day!
I'm out of the loop- didn't even know about this new collection.
Does anyone else clip and save his Vogue pieces? (sounds like that is where many from this book are from......)
