A mundane topic, I'm sure, however..... The significant other put rissoles on the menu this week. Now, I'm rather fond of rissoles, even the old bangers and mash now again, so I thought I'd throw the subject at the Chowhounds. What are the best recipes around for rissoles? Or are they all collectively known as hamburger in the US? Cheers.

Doing a Google search, and changing things slightly for legitimacy, I came across this, which I reckon sounds great. Will try it tonight.

Blue Cheese Rissoles

250g pound blue cheese
1.5kg pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions

1. Crumb the blue cheese into a large mixing bowl, and then thoroughly combine with ground beef, chives, garlic, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, and mustard. Refrigerate for 2 hours at least, or overnight.

3. Press the meat into about 12 patties. Cook on preheated grill or BBQ until browned on both sides and to your desired doneness.
