The "Washington Post" has a fast food calorie counter. Listed by chain, each food is listed for both its total calories and fat grams.

I think my favorite fast food calorie counter has to be the one Carl's Jr. has on their website. You can select different things and find out just how bad for you a particular meal is. For example, I could have a Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Criss-Cut Fries, and a large Coca-Cola (estimated to be the size of three smalls) to wash it down and consume only... let's see... 1,930 calories, 74 grams of fat, and 2,774 mg of sodium. If you wanted to, you could instead get 5 BBQ Chicken sandwiches, 6 garden salads with fat-free Italian dressing, and all the water you can drink, and still come in 80 calories lower and with less than half the fat. The only thing is that the sodium goes through the roof at almost 10,000 mg of sodium, but who would eat FIVE in one sitting anyway?

It's almost fun to play with the thing... shop around and see what's healthy and what clogs your arteries on the spot! Hmm... let's see... my favorite breakfast from there... eek. Maybe I'll just go to the smoothie place instead...

Sounds like fun, but on the Washington Post site you learn about the fat cats as well as the fat food. :)
