We've moved the Weight Loss thread to our Not About Food board. This General Topics board is very overloaded; please let's try to use it only for directly chow-related topics, especially discussions with potential to mushroom hugely like the always popular weight loss topic!

Duh, I'm scratching my head in confusion. Doesn't food directly contribute to weight gain? Isn't what you put in or don't put in your mouth also directly related to food???

I would suggest it is INDIRECTLY related: it is a matter of food amounts and types.

I think we should give the 'hounds discretion on these matters. Trying to keep topics tangentially related to food off this already overburdened board and thus keeping it from collapsing is a goal all of us should support - even if it does occasionally violate our sense of the meaning of the title.
