Certainly BBCo does these unusual beers at least partially for the publicity, but they do a service to the craft-brewing industry by 1) changing the public perception of beer from something associated with bowling alleys and frat parties; and 2) bending the rules on how beer should be priced. It's very important that craft brewers continue to push for fair (i.e., higher) prices and not let their products be perceived as commodities.
