Never mind... I am NOT paying $100+ a bottle for a still, over proof and sickly sweet malty beer. Their triple bock was nothing special (anyone want to buy a vertical selection of all their years of triple bock?) and this just seems like more of the same PR stunt stuff.

No kidding about the triple bock! While we were tasting it, someone remarked that it tasted like soy sauce. And once I had that in mind, I couldn't taste anything else. Yeech!

I had several glasses of the triple out of a keg in the brewery/bar at the Samual Adams in the Lennex, Boston, Mass. I thought it was awesome, but I never had the bottle. Could that make a dif.?

I didn't care for Tripel Bock, but the Millennium was rather nice.

Certainly BBCo does these unusual beers at least partially for the publicity, but they do a service to the craft-brewing industry by 1) changing the public perception of beer from something associated with bowling alleys and frat parties; and 2) bending the rules on how beer should be priced. It's very important that craft brewers continue to push for fair (i.e., higher) prices and not let their products be perceived as commodities.
