His cooking is about as authentic as going down your local slop curry house, but he is enormous fun and he can, from my own experience of an evening with him, drink like he has hollow legs. So, why doesn't the Food Network replace some of their awful original programming (which they must pay to produce) with re-runs of these old classics and others like it? How 'bout "smarmy". And he was (see posting below) involved in a scandal: He liked little boys. Apparently, PBS let him leave quietly and no charges would be pressed. I saw a couple of them thanks to information from one of the Chowhounds (search the archives for postings by other Floyd fans). The programs were kind of fun but nowhere near as good as the previous ones. Neverthless, it's always cheering to see Keith Floyd again.
