I'm looking for a good french restaurant in Santa Clara - doesn't have to be fancy. A casual cafe would be perfect - something that would serve croque monsieur, perhaps? thank you!

We've had two excellent meals at Brigitte's on Saratoga in Santa Clara. The owner is a nice french woman who often visits tables to chat with diners. The cuisine is more french-mediterranean than pure french, and I could really notice the fresh seasonal ingredients both times we went. Their website (http://www.brigittescuisine.com/) has the menu, which changes often, but right now it includes a croque madame in the lunch menu (ask if they can hold the egg for a croque mr.)

I'll see if I can find my post, but you can also read the reviews on their website.

Well, it's great for people watching and perfect for a Spring Day- you might want to try the crepe
kiosk in Santa Row...I think they're tasty and in addition have great dessert crepes!
Happy Eating!
