Kozy Shack Rice Pudding

I have recently discovered Kozy Shack rice pudding in the dairy cases of many local stores. Let me tell you, it is REALLY good, clean, uncomplicated, homey tasting rice pudding. An added perk, and not the reason I tried it but a perk nonetheless, is it is very lowfat. I have also tried their tapioca which I don't like as much, lots of gluey vanilla pudding with a few scatterings of larger tapioca pearls, and today I was going to try the chocolate pudding but I lost it to the garage floor trying to carry in too much at one time.

  1. Yup! Kozy Shack Rice Pudding is one of the best easy-to-find mass produced food products in the country. It's just AMAZINGLY good. And all natural--they even use real vanilla!

I think this is quite possibly the only food website whose users feel compelled to apologize before using the term "lowfat"

      ; )

      1. Sorry about the chocolate pudding. You have a lucky garage floor! I highly recommend the chocolate. Very chocolatey, and no weird chemical aftertaste.

        1. Another boon: it's gluten-free, if you know anyone with a celiac/sprue condition.

My wife and I are both devoted fans of Kozy Shack - it's fresh, they use real vanilla, and it's made right on Long Island! It's the only store bought pudding I can eat. I like the rice, she likes the chocolate! I have made both types of pudding at home and Kozy Shack is more than just a timesaver!

            1. Yes, the "original" rice pudding is good, but I like to stir in a little skim milk and then some fat free Cool Whip. That makes a very low fat pudding! And it's creamier, looser, the way I like it.

Now I'm waiting for their newer European style rice pudding to make it to my part of the country. I had some in Seattle and it was great. I don't add anything to that. But when I came back home, none of our stores had it. As a matter of fact, I was just checking now to see if Kozy Shack has any suggestions for me as to where I can get this European rice pudding of theirs.

Love the European style rice pudding, very nice vanilla flavor.
As someone who hates eggs (custard, creme brulee) I appreciate that their pudding doesn't taste very "eggy".

              2. Just tried the chocolate pudding. Very good and I am really impressed they actually put sugar in it. NO HCFS!
