Catering small party

I'm having a small party for about 25 which I'd like
to cater with hors d'oeuvres.. something a little
different and eclectic and not empty my not-so-fat
wallet. I'm willing to pick up the grub (nyc or Hudson
County). Any ideas?

D'artagnan (sp?) in Jersey City has some great stuff
    although it isn't cheap.
You could also check out Eatzi's in the cellar @ Macys.
My old company used to use Petak's Caterers in NYC.
Again, not cheap but good chow.
    Regards, JK

Or head to a good Turkish or Lebanese
restaurant. (I like the Turkish Kitchen,
but I'm sure other CH regulars have other
      ideas--hell, even the much-remarked-upon
Fountain Cafe.) Mezze are always relatively
inexpensive, hold up well, and make terrific
      pass-around hors d'oeuvres.
