      <content>There was a long blender thread a while back.  If you can afford it, a VitaMix is great.  Waring Pro is a great option in my opinion also.</content>

      <content>Second Waring Pro. Amazon usually has some great buys on it. It is simple and there is not too much to go wrong with it. </content>

      <content>I agree, the Waring is bulletproof.
 
The Vita Mix is a commercial appliance, also bulletproof.
 
Toaster ovens, on the other hand, last weeks or months in my experience.  I've given up on them.  Would welcome advice to the contrary.</content>
