I'm looking to rent a BBQ suitable for roasting a whole small pig (60-90lbs). If possible, I'd like to rent a "La Caja China" (see URL). The place I had been planning on renting from seems to now rent more floor polishers than BBQs now. :-(

I'm also looking for a vendor of whole small pigs. I have found a couple of sources at butcher shops, but if anyone can reccommend any particularly good vendors, especially for custom raised pigs for whole roasting it would be much appreciated. There was one vendor from the Santa Rosa area that I had contacted at a farmers market, but I've forgotten the name.

Call S&B Farm in Petaluma and ask about a fresh pig. They won't do the butchering but they know someone local who does it for them, so when you pick up your pig it's cleaned, butterflied, and ready to go; you can ask Sylvia or Bajun to leave the head and trotters on or remove them, your choice.
