Just ordered several cookbooks from The Good Cook Club - I know this has been discussed before but wanted to point out that a good number of the new crop recently discussed here or otherwise of interest are available, such as the Martha Stewart Baking Handbook, The Arab Table, How to Cook Italian, Mangoes and Curry Leaves, etc.
All of the club selections are available online as part of the enrollment package, which is a better deal than the mailing they send out periodically which only lists certain titles.
My total for 5 books was $34.38, and I am only obligated to buy one more book in the next year.
You can decline monthly selections on line as well.
Club prices are reasonable - the Giuliano Hazan book is only $9.95.
Nice to be able to indulge an addiction for so little money!

Thanks to this club, I have over 15-20 new cookbooks. You can find better prices elsewhere, (once you do the initial offer) ,but one thing I like is you can order books and then pay for them later. That causes me to indulge more than I should though.

In my case, the ease with which this book club allows me to buy more cookbooks must be defined as "enabling addictive behavior". Last damn thing in the world I needed was yet another pipeline to my mainline, and now I'm gonna have to buy another house just to keep the cookbooks in! Even though a significant number of the offerings are eminently resistible (anything boasting shortcuts, or whose title includes the words "quick" and/or "easy"), there are still entirely too many very good and solid works by very good authors, at very good prices.
