Just opened my "Bloody Mary" infused vodka last night. It came out fabulously. I infused absolut vodka with an ancho chili pepper, fresh horseradish and a handful of peppercorns. It has nice spicy bite with a strong taste of horseradish. It will be perfect for bloodies on Christmas and New Years day!

Wow! That sounds like a great idea. How did you prepare the horseradish root? - grated, chopped? And I assume the ancho chile was dried and left intact. How long did you let it go? Thanks in advance, I can't wait to give it a try!

I actually used a fresh ancho chili, just split 3/4 of the way to the stem so the seeds were exposed. The horseradish I scrubbed, peeled and cut into cubes. I left if for just over 6 weeks in a cool dry place. It really had to be strained well. I used a cheese cloth lined mesh strainer. The color came out a little cloudy, maybe from the horseradish?? but the taste is awesome! Goodluck!
