Bed, Bath & Beyond is offering a 13 piece Calphalon tri-ply stainless/aluminum core cookware set (NOT non-stick) for $399. They regularly send out %20 off coupons, and $5 off coupons. This mail-flyer ad states purchasing of $300 of Calphalon earns you a $50 BB&B gift card. I called and was assured all three discounts could be applied to the purchase of this set. So as long as you plan on being able to use that $50 gift card at some point in the future, the final cost is $317.

The set consists of:
8" fry pan
10" fry pan
1 1/2 quart, 2 1/2 quart, 4 1/2 quart sauce pans
(with tempered glass lids)
6 qt. stock pot w/ lid
6 qt. pasta insert
3 qt. saute pan/chicken fryer w/ lid

The reason this set seems so exciting at this price is that if it urns out upon inspection that this is a thick All-Clad clone, it's a fabulous price. I haven't gone to check it out yet, but I have been buying single pieces of the Henckels 3 ply All-Clad clone, and I love it. But this Calphalon
would be even less expensive still. Also, the angle of the handle of the Henckels is a bit strange (check it out at TARGET.COM) but the picture of the Calphalon handle looks perfect.

Interesting! If by "coupon" you mean the 20 % off coupon that arrives periodically in the mail, I just checked mine. Here's what is excluded in cookware: Henckels, All-Clad, Wusthof.
No mention of Calphalon. It would seem then that
BB & B's coupon restrictions are different in different parts of the country.
But you had me scared for a moment there. So I'm still primed to pick up one of these bargain Calphalon sets Friday.

My understanding is that they do not enforce any of the fine print in their 20% off coupons....I've been able to use expired coupons on wusthof, for example.

And, they even accept Linens N' Things coupons down here in Florida too if you don't have one of theirs...and yes, I've seen them accept expired 20% coupons of their own also.

If you've been buying single pieces already, you may do just as will with say an 8 piece set if the larger set duplicates what you have. I would check amazon.com, as they usually have great prices on this stuff. I thing thre's a $25 g.c. deal right now, and maybe free additional pieces with a minimum purchase.
The Calphalon pieces are just slightly below All Clad in quality, but not enough that it should matter.
As for the coupon-- you aren't supposed to be able to use them on these brands due to legal restrictions in their marketing agreements, but often a cashier will accept them anyway.
Enjoy.

I'm sorry, but what does "$25 g.c. deal" mean?
The single pieces I've been buying have been of the Henckels "Classic-Clad" online - no tax, no postage.
I got a beautiful 6 quart dutch oven with lid, in some ways even better than All-Clad - heavier, if you can believe it, for $99.
I'll check Amazon today for the Calphalon, as you suggest - thanks.
