1-2 person crock pot

lbird Nov 29, 2005 03:20 PM

Hi! Looking for recipes for a little crock pot. I've been searching and all I seem to find are for the family size ones. I do cut the recipes by half but it usually ends up overfilling my crock pot anyway. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's cold in Chicago and I'm looking forward to some hot food!

Evidently Rival makes small (1 qt)crockpots- I found one today new on ebay. going for $1 so far....but wouldn't it be more convenient to get a 4 qt and freeze the leftovers? We LOVE leftovers in my house!
"It's what's for dinner!" heh heh

I have a 4 qt crock pot and I wish it were bigger. There's only 2 of us, but I would like to be able to make a large batch (more than 3 lbs of stewing beef) of beef stew or spaghetti sauce. Being able to fit a whole chicken would also be nice. So, guess what, my next one will be oval shaped and 6 quarts :-)

Can you cook two people in one crock pot?

I just wanted to say Thanks a lot for the snarky comments and for the non-help. I didn't think asking for some help for recipes for an appliance that I already own would be such a joke.
