Pot Pie Recipes?
There are a couple of ways you can go about it. If I have enough turkey gravy already made I use it for the pie, otherwise I make more and have even used chicken stock to make it becuase I did not have any more turkey stock. Sometimes a bit of dry French vermouth or some leftover white wine is nice in the sauce/gravy
Then cut up fresh vegetables of your choice. I prefer to steam carrots and potatoes until they can be pierced with a fork place in the gravy along with cut up turkey and other vegetables like peas, sliced sauteed mushrooms, pearl onions, celery or what ever strikes your fancy.
Line a 9" deep dish pie plate with pie crust pour in the turkey/veg/gravy mixture and top with crust. seal the edges and cut steam vents in the top. Bake at 350 F until the crust is golden and crisp and the pie is bubbling.
Sorry I cannot give you exact measurements, I just make it up as i go along depending on what is on hand. I use an all butter pie crust too that has a bit of baking powder in it which gives the crust a bit of a rise for additional flakiness.
