fried turducken?

  • c

Trying to figure out if you would deep fry a turducken a la a turkey, if it would fall to pieces...any one ever try this?

  1. Not a good idea. It is much denser than a turkey and getting the inner layers done will overcook the turkey

Correct. The reason deep frying works is that the hot oil gets in the cavity and so the flesh is cooked quickly from both sides.

I'm not convinced...I am almost positive i know people that have fried these. I think that if you have a frying bar that keeps exposure to the inner cavity of the turducken to the oil you can absolutley fry it. just no stuffing of course.
