Deep Frying Turkey

I note around this time of year, there's a lot of talk about deep frying turkeys. I got this link (below) in an ezine I subscribe to, and thought others might be interested. There's a demo video there as well.

  1. I just want to add that my family cooks many turkeys every year this way and it isn't worth the price of the oil or the mess unless you are cooking multiple turkeys.

    Also, my personal opinion is that some of the outside deep fryers they sell this time of year to fry turkeys in are quite dangerous.

    We have a Viking commercial gas eye burner and use about a 20 quart cast iron pot that has been in my family for years.
