frying w/ nut allergy

Have been thinking about trying to deep fry a turkey, but am allergic to nuts, could not even work with peanut oil. Was wondering if there is another oil that could be used to do this?

  1. Soybean oil (the usual "vegetable oil" in large containers).

    For the more expensive, grapeseed oil (which has a very high smoke point), canola or safflower oil.

    And then there's lard.....
