this isn't going to please many people, however, here goes - some "everything" stores (like BedBath&Beyond or Linens N Things) sell this powdered "cheese" stuff for popcorn. The colors are definitely orange (cheddar, nacho flavor, bacon n cheddar, and even a sour cream and chive sprinkle which is more white than green).

BUT - if you were going to add food coloring (chemical anyway) why not do this cheese stuff? (spray cooked popcorn with a little PAM butter flavor to help it stick)

And instead of green, why not do black - goes well with orange for the holiday - i find the chili powder can be borderline black in color...too strong? a mix of chili powder and garlic powder???

Most craft stores sell food coloring paste that you can melt in butter. You can then toss the popcorn in the colored butter. This you could serve in bowls. However you might want to make popcorn balls like others suggested. You can use the same paste in warm corn syrup or use it to color homemade caramel sauce to make the balls.

A bit of spirulina tossed in after popping makes all the popcorn a beautiful dark green. I personally eat it this way all the time cause I like the taste (with spirulina + spike).
