Freezing leftover pie?

  • t

I bought the most delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie from the P&H Truckstop in Wells River, VT (go, now!) but don't want to finish it all now. Is it freezable? It is still in its plastic clam-case but 1/4 of the pie is missing. Would I wrap the entire thing in alum. foil? Remove the pie from the case, etc? Any advice would be appreciated.

many thanks.

  1. You might divide it in to quarters, freeze the sections on a sheet pan and when frozen wrap tightly in foil and place in a zip lock type freezer bag. Defrost a section as you want.
