Too many apples...

  • l

Over the past couple of weeks I have bought a plethora of apples at my farmers' market, even thought I am not quite mentally ready for apples (we still have peaches, tomatoes and corn as well as hot weather). Is there a way that I can somehow store them in ziplock bags in the freezer, for example by cooking them a bit a la apple charlotte?

Many thanks in advance for any ideas!

We live in Ohio and our apples are just barely coming in. We store them in a cool, DRY place in the basement and they will be good till spring. I have never frozen apples, if you are successful, please let us know.
