feezing muffin batter

According to The Joy of Cooking, unbaked muffin batter can be frozen and baked straight from the freezer. Anyone tried that? I have a batch in the freezer now, waiting for next week. I want to bring some freshly baked muffins to work, and don't have time to do the mixing in the morning.

I guess I will find out next week!

    You could mix the batter the night before and let it rest in the fridge and fill and bake the next morning.

      I haven't done it, but please post your results when you make the muffins! Did you freeze the batter in a solid clump, how did you thaw, etc.
