Chicken recipe replacement for Bulgogi needed
I make the Dok Suni cookbook (and restaurant) recipe for Bul Gogi which I really like. I want to replace it with chicken because I have a toddler who isn't eating beef right now (and it is a little healthier) but I think the recipe would be too sweet for chicken. Am I right? What is the recipe that korean restaurants use for grilled chicken.
Korean Grilled Chicken
1/4 c. Roasted sesame seeds
1/4 c. Veg. oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
2 scallions cut into thin rounds, including some of the green stems
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. ground ginger, or 1/2 tsp. grated fresh
2 tsps. sesame oil
1 large chicken cut up
Marinate at least three hours.
