Blue Plate mac 'n cheese recipe
Looking for clues to recreate the san francisco restaurant blue plate's macaroni and cheese. It's quite gourmet with three types of cheese including drunken goat cheese. Any thoughts?
You might try the Silver Palate recipe as a base. You boil the pasta while making a roux, then add hot milk to the roux to make a white sauce. Drain pasta & put in a 9x13 pan, then toss with the white sauce. Add cheeses - you could experiment with types. Then bake at 350 for around 30 minutes. It's wonderful.
