i'm having a last minute goodbye fondue party tomorrow night, and i need help! (goodbye to a friend, not to fondue)

i've done cheese fondue before, and have a pretty great recipe for that, but this would be my first time with chocolate, so...does anybody have a tried and true chocolate fondue recipe they'd like to share? i'm partial to dark chocolate, but open to anything.

i checked epicurious, but didn't see anything too promising...

thanks!

The chocolate fondue at Epicurious that calls for Scharffen Berger chocolate and cocoa is delicious. Wonderful with ripe cherries to dip into it. Also with chocolate you have to be very careful with the heat. After making it you may want to serve it in a chafing dish or only with a tea light to keep it warm. Metal fondue pots are not recommended.

I have made the following recipe several times and always got raves. Super easy.

1 pound of your favorite dark chocolate
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup caramel topping (Mrs. Richardson's is best, but Smuckers will do)
3 tablespoons of your favorite liqueur (optional)

Melt all ingredients in fondue pot over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. (You can also melt everything in a pot on the stove and then pour into the fondue pot and keep over a low flame to keep warm.)

It's a winner!!

I just made a huge amount for daughter's graduation party. I looked at the ones with fancy chocolate, but figured 17 year olds would like just about anything with just regular chocolate. Got a huge bag of chocolate chips at Costco, added half and half, and let melt to the texture I wanted (whole bag to about a cup liquid to start.) It was a smash--easy and good.
