Chocolate covered shortbread cookies

Chalmers Jun 13, 2005 02:40 PM

I'm posting this to the home cooking board because I'm making a trifle-like dessert that calls for crumbled shortbread cookies, but want to substitute the chocolate covered variety.

Has anyone seen these at any markets in the DC, NoVA, or MD area? Balduccis? WFs? Etc??

Thanks -

Walker's in the red plaid boxes makes chocolate dipped shortbread fingers. Most groceries have them in the import section if not in the cookie aisle.

I thought I had seen those but couldn't find them on their site to verify. I'll look for them now that my suspicion of their existence has been confirmed.

      Thanks a bunch -
