freezing chicken salad and ham salad

We had a spiral ham last Sunday and have lots of it left. I was thinking of making ham salad with it. Has anyone ever frozen ham or chicken salad. Thanks for any help.

    If it's mayonnaise based and you try to freeze it, you'll really wish you hadn't. The mayo will separate, leaving you with an oily mess. Vinaigrette based chicken salads *might* work, but I think that the texture would likely be affected for the worse.

      I believe mayonniase-type dressings don't freeze well. Freeze the meat alone, then make the salad later, with the thawed meat.

        I haven't, but I would think that anything with mayonnaise would not freeze well. Maybe just freeze the ham and make the salad later?
