Fridge life of lemon cream cheese frosting?
I made a delicious frosting, but after just 2 days the zest in it is tasting a little bitter. I know my tastebuds are sensitive, but I assume this taste will only be worse tomorrow.
Is there any way to prolong the life of my frosting? If I leave the zest out of the frosting won't it lack lemon flavor?
I baked a dozen cupcakes and kept the frosting in a separate tupperware so I could frost each one as I wanted to eat it. I was hoping this could provide me a week's worth of desserts!
