recipe for large chocolate Easter eggs?

Does anyone remember, and have a recipe for, those large solid Easter eggs that I remember from around the 1970's? They had a more solid, nougat textured filling, usually maple cream or some other flavor, and were about 6" long and 4" high.
I'm having a nostalgic craving and can't seem to find even a reference to them. TIA!

Thanks. I talked to my brother in NY and he sounded like he'd seen them around. It sounds like the reason I haven't seen them in a while is because I'm now in the South, not because they don't make 'em anymore. I guess mail order will have to be the way to go.
Next time you're in the store and see one, have it and think of me!
