This is very strange. I rested my hot cast iron skillet against the window sill and now it has white paint splotches across the bottom. How can I remove this? Oh boy!
Start with steel wool and work your way up to a grinder. I'd be more cautious with copper or aluminum, but it's only cast iron. Since the paint is on the outside you won't even have to season it again.
Hardware stores carry a produce called Oops!. It is made for removing paint smudges.
