Not in the mood to cook halibut tonight

I bought the halibut yesterday from Whole Foods. Planned on cooking it last night, but something came up (pizza). And tonight I am too full from going out for lunch to even think of doing more than heating up leftover soup. Should I stick the halibut in the freezer? Will it be okay for cooking tomorrow night? Or should I just wait for a couple hours and hope I'm up for cooking fish tonight?
Whenever I have that feeling but am pretty sure the item will be less than prime the next day (covers veggies, meats, etc.) I make a quick soup for the next day. Example- cubed and simmered in dashi with whatever veggies are around. Takes only 15 minutes but the next day will be lovely with some fresh noodles or... The other alternative is to marinate in a flavorful acidic thing (even a bottled vinegar based dressing)in a zip lock bag and just toss on a grill or bake for a few minutes tomorrow.
I'd cook it up and then put it in the fridge until tommorrow. You at least have two more days to eat it after it's cooked. Just do a simple pan bake and you're done. You can add sauce or whatever when you decide to eat it. Reheat on low heat with some liquid.
It's not a good idea to put two day old fish in the freezer for a few reasons. For one, you might give it another day before cooking it.
