Where to find nacatamales in the Bay Area?
Ben and I are still on the lookout for nacatamales. They are very moist and flavorful Nicaraguan tamales filled w/ potatoes, olives and other ingredients. Ben tried them in Honduras when he was a little kid and still remembers them. I've tried them at La Palma Mexicatessen, 2884 24th St (@ Florida) SF. 415-647-1500 but they don't have them often.
Salvadorean tamales are close but still not the same says Ben.
Any place else has them?

The best ones I've had were from Latino's in Vallejo. You can also find them at Barassa's in SF's Mission and Tapatio in SSF.

re: Arlene
Here's my post with the address for Barassa's (it's spelled both ways). The place in SSF is La Tapatia, and it's on Grand Ave. across from City Hall.
