Recipe for cedar plank salmon?

I have the planks but must have tossed the directions for use. I'm going to prepare half a salmon in a Weber and would be grateful for instructions as well as recipes for a marinade or barbecue sauce with strong flavors to complement the smokiness from the cedar. How about sides?

  1. Soak the planks for 15 minutes in water, then 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees in the oven.

    1. Soak the planks for about 4 hours. Directions usually say to put them on the grill with closed lid until they smoke, but I find they always burn. Grill should be on medium. Put sauce or rub or marinade on salmon about 15 minutes before cooking. Place salmon on plank skin side down, cook with lid closed 10-15 minutes, depending on size/thickness.
