The thread below about freezing cake batter leads to my next question...can leftover pancake batter be successfully frozen? Thanks!
Same principal would apply to pancake batter...it would deflate and be heavy. Why not just freeze the pancakes and pop them in the toaster when you want them? I do that very successfully, as well as with waffles and blinis and the suchlikes.
WHY??? It's not good to be wasteful, of course, but it's not like it was steak, or the like. Regret your error, get rid of it and forget about it. Or, as another poster here says, make the cakes and freeze them.
