replace chicken with chickpeas in chicken tagine
Chris Kimball recently had a recipe in the papers for chicken tagine. I would like to replace the chicken with chickpeas in order to make the recipe vegetarian. Any suggestions as to how to do it?

You have two choices, dried or canned. Dried are sometimes better quality, but even after reconstituting them you have to cook them forever, which means you have to change the timing around if you don't want your veggies to get mushy. Canned you can just take the skin off (optional) and dump in there like you would chicken. Should work well since there are many chickpea tagine recipes out there...
