What can I serve with frittata
for breakfast, lunch or dinner?
Here's what I'd serve with frittata...
for breakfast, I'd have some grilled ham or bacon and good whole grain toast.
for lunch, a small side salad of mixed greens and maybe some stewed or roasted tomatoes.
for dinner, some roasted vegetables and potatoes, along with a side salad of mixed greens with a couple of disks of toasted goat cheese.
For breakfast I generally have frittata on its own with just some fruit, juice, milk and coffee. Maybe a slice of toast depending on if there are any potatoes in the frittata.
For lunch, I love frittata sandwiches--just put slices of frittata between a nice crusty roll. I like to serve them with pickled carrots or other pickled vegetables. In the tomato season, I serve frittata sandwiches for lunch with tomato salad made of cut up tomatoes, basil and olive oil.
For dinner, I like to make bruschetta with my best olive oil, and saute spinach or chard or other greens as a side dish.
