Freezing (cooked) short ribs?
Would it be okay to make a mega-batch of ribs and then freeze them in ziplocks? How long would they stay at their prime and what would the negative effects be? Could therre possibly be a better dish to have frozen in your freezer?
Sure can freeze 'em. Any kind of ribs, chops, etc., freeze great and will last several months at least. I have gone longer and seen no ill effects. Cook once, eat three times!
I make a country rib recipe with a simple homemade sauce and smothered with onions. There is nothing better to have in the freezer than that. Couple minutes in the mike and ready to go.
