Any use a Chemex to make coffee? It's the glass, beaker-looking thing-you pour hot water through a filter filled with coffee. I've had it served to me and I just bought one. So far, so good, but would welcome any tips. Thanks in advance.

Sammy -- go to coffeegeek.com and go to the Forums link on the top. These people know EVERYTHING about coffee. Don't pass Go or Collect 200$ -- talk to the coffee geeks. They've given me great advice in the past.

I've used Chemex carafes in the past, generally liked them very much except for one thing--breakability. Could be I'm just a klutz, but after breaking two within a three-year period, I gave up. Still use the filters, though.
