christinet Dec 7, 2004 03:52 PM

Does anyone remember the fantastic Blue Cheese Ball that Jurgensen's Market on Union St, San Francisco (also Jurgensen's in Bev. Hills and Palm Springs) sold in their deli during the holidays? Have tried to recreate for years---wondering if anyone has the recipe??? THANKS!!

Don't have the recipe, but there was a Jurgensen's in Pasadena when I was growing up, and they had the best roast beef sandwiches. Mmm. Thanks for the memories!

If l'm not mistaken one of the last Jurgensen's market was still going strong in Lake Arrowhead. . .see if they're still up and running.

Alas, not able to locate Arrowhead Jurgensen's on web. Will try yellow pages/directory---but, pretty sure all Jurgensen's closed.

Yes, miss all their goods. Believe Pasadena was the headquarters. Will check out Arrowhead to see if there is one left.
