I'm probably over ambitious, but.....
I've decided that I'm done with Christmas cookies and I'm going to make homemade bread for gifts this year. I've had relatively good luck with plain old homemade white bread made at home. Anyone have any great leavened bread recipes/resources to share? I don't have any fancy equipment, ie Kitchen Aid mixer w/ bread hook. Thanks in advance.
I love Anadama bread. It's great for sandwiches and makes wonderful toast. Should be lots of recipes online. I also love Finnish Cardamom bread - Nisu. I've made this for Xmas gifts. Don't have the recipe here but i'll post it if you like. Both are basic recipes.
How about pannetone? Very holiday-ish. Can be served for xmas breakfast or brunch, and leftovers are excellent french toast.
