Meringue Cake (Sostanza)
This is a little left field, but does anyone have a recipe that comes close to the meringue cake served at Sostanza in Florence? I know that quite a few of you have eaten there... the "cake" seemed to consist mostly of whipped cream, chocolate chunks and meringue. Sounds simple, but when I tried my own version at home, it didn't even come close. The cake at Sostanza is an outstanding blend of flavors.
