le carne grill

went to le carne grill (LCG) this weekend. i was very impressed, the food was delicous, they had very nice size (big) portions and the service was impeccable.
they also have a beautiful ambiance. three levels to sit. really nice.
they have delmonico on the menu. i never understood why prime grill only serves it tuesday. like big deallll..i guess it is good markeiting though.
they have a great appetizer sampler, great duck main, chicken main, lamg osso buco, steaks.
two thumbs way up. i higfhly recommend

A bit pricey, but not unreasonable for a very nice evening out.

I wanted to share with everyone that we ate at La Carne Grill last night and were very happy. We split the 22oz Delmonico and also had the spare rib spring rolls. The steak and spring rolls were delish.

We ate there last year and were pretty unimpressed. It was comparably priced to Prime Grill. The meat wasn't as good. The service was poor and there was little inventive about the menu.

I couldn't agree with you more!

Went out with friends for a birthday, would never go back or recommend anybody to go there.

There was one, yes you heard me right ONE waiter, who was frankly rude and pushy, constantly pestering and nagging us for our order, in a word VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

The food, nothing major at all, not something you would expect from a fancy place in the city, rather something you could pick up at a local Kosher takeout and horribly overpriced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in a nutshell, waste of TIME and MONEY.

It was reasonable- $50 or the 22oz delmonico which serves two people, we ate at the prime the night before and had two steaks the pg fillet and the prime reserve 49 dollars each and they were not 22oz, so we thought this was much better value.

While it's possible that it's not updated, the menu located here--http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/... list a single steak for $49, let alone two.
