Kosher food/produce is sold in several Singapore supermarkets, and at the main synagogue. However, I don't know of any restaurants that are certified Kosher. There used to be one but it closed down several yrs ago. You could email the address given on www.singaporejews.com for more info (see link).

Alternatively, there are many restaurants serving halal food as we (I'm from Singapore) have a sizeable Muslim population. Would that be an option ?

Again, not sure about certification standards, but there are several Chinese vegetarian places in Singapore that might be worth looking into -- FWIW, I've seen one or 2 such places with a kosher certificate in the US.

Depends how kosher you want to be.

There is little practical difference between Halal chicken and kosher chicken.

Of course it depends on how kosher you want to be, but most commercially available organic chicken would then also qualify, as they are raised on feed that would be kosher, and their slaughter would be considered humane by most.
Kosher is not about practicality (anymore).

There's a shop in the Jacob Ballas building next door to Maghen Aboth on Waterloo St. (The same building as Awalfi, the kosher restaurant).

By the way, singaporejews.com is very out of date. The person who used to maintain it left, and nobody else has the password, so it hasn't been updated in years.

Has anyone ever spent Shabbos in Singapore? Does the Shul offer meals?

The community center(Jacob Ballas building) next to the shul offers meals for all of Shabbat. You can prepay in the office.
